BIOGRAPHY
Born 1979 into a family of artists, I grew up in Philadelphia and a remote island in Maine. Figure Drawing classes began for me when I was 16 years old at Moore College of Art, Philadelphia. I received my BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design (2001). and completed their European Honors Program in Rome. I also studied at Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland. Right after art school I landed in Durango, Colorado for a job with a hotshot wildland firefighting crew, was quickly fired, met my partner, started a family and restarted my art career.
I exhibit my artwork mostly in forests and a local hobbit home I designed and had built with my partner; and have shown in galleries in Santa Fe, Durango, and Oaxaca, México. I have started and facilitated figure drawing groups for several years in Durango and now Crestone. I created three large self portrait oil paintings commissioned for book covers by a collector and author; the published trilogy spanned 2021-2025.
I currently live and paint in Crestone, Colorado, a Dark Sky Community.

This photo was taked during the group exhibition Visionary Forest, 9/11/2020 in the woods of Crestone, Colorado, USA.
